We are going to a close friends wedding in Nantucket this weekend and we decided to make an extended mini-vacation out of it. Nantucket is a great destination for us to beat the heat and it is only an hour flight from New York City!
On our fist day once we got settled into The White House Inn in the town of Nantucket we decided to explore our new surroundings. H was fascinated that he was tall enough to be able to look out the windows of our quaint apartment.
We had a quick lunch at Easy Street Cantina and made our way towards Children’s Beach Nantucket. I love the stands that the Nantucket Lifeguards get to sit in (brings back memories of my first job in California).

The Children’s Beach Park had tons of great structures for kids of all ages to play on. H would sit here and pretend to be driving a boat for hours!
After a great day of sun, sand and play we ended it with a sweet treat from the Juice Shop!

It was so nice to get out of the city! Nantucket was so quaint and welcoming we plan to go back every summer now.
I have never been to Nantucket but would love to take the family someday especially because it is only 1 hour away!
At this age (toddler age) all flights are a struggle but at least we are only annoying the other flyers for a short amount of time :)
